Behind Our "Why": Empowering the Wedding Professional, Supporting Our Community
October 09, 2018

I have always been crazy about weddings. We’re talking an absolute, uncontrollable obsession – the kind that catches my breath and leaves me weak in the knees over everything and anything wedding. So, it’s no surprise that, like many of you, I left the corporate world to pursue my passion as a wedding planner. It was never an easy path but the ride—amazing! Even after hundreds of weddings, my love for that beautiful letter-pressed invitation—the one I can’t help but run my fingers across and still can’t bring myself to throw away—the stunning hand tied bouquet or that ceremony backdrop that just draws you in and holds your attention. The sight of a well-styled place setting (not to mention immaculately folded napkins) or a row of perfectly aligned chairs still get me every time. AND THEN THERE’S THE PHOTOS—I could spend all day looking at beautiful wedding photos!

It’s all in the details.

As wedding pros, we know this. When we pull them all together—sometimes in those final moments—it makes an enormous impact on any event and, of course, on your couples’ lasting memories of their big day. More importantly, I know that behind each and every detail is the time, effort and heart of a hardworking pro who, without their natural grit and finesse, each detail would not be possible. As Aisle Planner celebrates its fourth birthday and I reflect on how much your work continues to inspire us, I’m even more fired up and honored to support this community—and in that pursuit, better support every step in the process of bringing those details to life.

The first step.

Four years ago, we took ours and launched Aisle Planner with just a simple checklist and a calendar. It was our first stride towards helping wedding pros streamline their workload and better keep track of what’s been done and what’s left to do. It wasn’t long before we launched more features that made it easier way to manage vendor contact information and wedding related files to help pros stay organized. We also created a notebook to help wedding pros get notes and ideas out of their heads, off paper and into their planning process. Our timeline and design studio features shortly followed, fostering creativity and furthering our goal of improving collaboration while shaving off hours from your already busy workday. Fast forward four years and, with many new additions to our platform, you’re finally catching a glimpse of the full ecosystem we had envisioned from the start—a platform for wedding pros that pairs our cornerstone planning and project management tools with powerful marketing and client management features, all in one place and seamlessly linked from your first engagement to the day of the event. Altogether, a mighty secret weapon for any wedding pro’s back pocket and built with one goal in mind: to empower you and create positive change for you and your business.

We always have your back.

Whatever positive change means for you and your business, whether it’s modernizing to stay ahead of ever changing technological advances, smoothing the road for your personal booking and planning process so it shines, streamlining your workflow to gain better work-life balance or improving your client experience to guarantee more referrals and rave reviews, the team and I here at APHQ stand behind you—and we’re just getting started.

Still obsessed.

Although I’m no longer planning weddings, I’m still captivated by all the pretty little details only now—and even more obsessively—I spend my days dreaming up better ways to make it ever easier for you to, among other things, design the perfect proposal to present to a prospective client with confidence, effortlessly produce and send your contract for services to book your next client, curate beautiful style guides to impress even the most particular bride and whip up a beautiful and comprehensive event timeline in no time flat—all in the name of empowering you, the wedding pro, and to help broadcast to the world what makes the details and the planning process behind every wedding so unique and special for your couples: YOU.
